Dimitris Papaioannou is nominated for an Emmy Award for the opening ceremony of the Baku European Games!

                                                                         Dimitris Papaioannou together with his collaborators, with whom they co-created the impressive opening ceremony of the Baku European Games, entitled "Origins», in the summer of 2015, is on the list of nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards, which will be awarded on May 1, 2016.

The nominations for the Baku opening ceremony:

In the directing category (special class) The nominees are Dimitris Papaioannou and Greg Breakell (directors) and Tina Papanikolaou and Louise Story (assistant directors).

For artistic direction, set design and stage management,The candidates are Dimitris Papaioannou and Thanasis Demiris, Michael Curry as art director and Nicholas Mahon as set designer.

In musical direction and composition The candidates are Theodoros Kourentzis and Vangelino Kourentzis.

For the lighting The candidates are Robert Dickinson, Travis Hagenbuch, Charles Dabezies and Ted Wells.

Costume Design Awards and styling Angelos Mentis, Yashi and Paula Ryan are claiming.

The award for live and recorded audio mix, are claimed by Cristian Kaestner, Paul Koemans, Richard Sharrat, Dino Suceska, Scott Willsallen and Justin Arthur.
