The choreographers Sophie Bulbulyan, Lia Haraki and Apostolia Papadamakis they create the Drops of Peace, the terrestrial sequel to Drops of Breath, a symbolic work, specially designed for the gardens of the Vorres Museum.
The Drops of Peace is an interactive dance visual, site specific performance in which the dancers of Drops of Breath -which took place in late September in Sounio-, will emerge onto land and “bring” with them the water, the sounds and the images from the underwater shots, which will be projected on trees, walls and bodies in the gardens of the Vorres Museum. With this material, the dancers, now “swimming” in the green nature, want to underline the inseparable connection between the liquid and the solid element, in underwater and terrestrial life.
Spectators walking through the gardens of the Vorres Museum will have the opportunity to experience their own journey, watching the dancers compose memories that have been recorded within them from their underwater experience. An adventure for our senses, starring the strong human nature that, while thinking, feeling and choosing, remains always connected to the perpetual movement of Creation, where life continues regardless of human activities and beliefs.
In Drops of Peace Members of the Drops of Breath group (three Frenchmen, one Cypriot woman and one child) participate. Two of the dancers are disabled.
The Drops of Peace will begin its journey from the gardens of the Vorres Museum (October 25, 26, 27, Athens). It will then travel to Cyprus, to the “Municipal Garden” of Limassol (October 31 & November 1) and to France, to “Le Moustier” (January 10, 2016, Thorigny sur Marne) and “La Fontaine aux Images” (January 15 & 16, 2016, Clichy sous Bois).
On November 2, 2015, the performance Drops of Breath will be presented and filmed in Cyprus, at the “Old Vinegar Factory” (34 Genethliou Mitella, Limassol, time 8:30 p.m., free admission).
The Drops of Peace is part of the innovative project "The Underwater Heart of the Mediterranean", a multi-action project selected by the "Creative Europe" Programme (Horizon 2020) of the EU Directorate-General for Education and Culture, for the period January 2015 - February 2016.
