Music in Motion Festival 2016

The Music is Network in collaboration with Akropoditi Dance Theater, they organize the 2nd Music and Dance Festival – Music in Motion Festival which will take place in Athens, on May 28 and 29, 2016, at the TRIANON Theater.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            The aim of the Music in Motion Festival is to promote contemporary creation and communication between artists working in the field of contemporary dance and contemporary music. Artistic groups from Greece and abroad will participate in the festival.

This year's event will feature: 11 new choreographies on top of 11 works of contemporary music as well as and an open improvisation where all the dancers - choreographers - musicians involved will participate.

Choreographed by: Aris Papadopoulos-Martha Pasakopoulou, Vangelis Papadakis, Moment Group (Iris Fousteri, Giuli Goutsiou, Antonia Dakou), Alexandros Michail, Blossom Threes (Pigi Lobotesi, Anna Ouzounidou, Eleni Pangalia), Iraqi Bodies(Anmar Taha), Mina Ananiadou-Katerina Gevetzi-Myrto Delimihali, “Syn-Kinisi”- Sofia Falierou, Alexis Fousekis-Stella Fotiadi-Maire-Fofi Anestou, Vittoria Kotsalou, Antifragile Collective

in musical compositions by: Alexis Porphyriadis, Takis Barberis, Fanis Kosonas, Manos Panagiotakis, Yannis Galitis, Spyros Mazis, Nikitas Kissonas, Konstantina Polychronopoulou, George Polychronakos, George Papoutsis and Zoe Efstathiou.

They interpret: Aris Papadopoulos, Martha Pasakopoulou, Vicky Papanikolaou, Moment Group (Iris Fousteri, Giuli Goutsiou, Antonia Dakou), Alexandros Michail, Blossom Threes (Pigi Lobotesi, Anna Ouzounidou, Eleni Pangalia), Josephine Gray, Anmar Taha, Mina Ananiadou, Katerina Gevetzi, Myrto Delimihali, Ioulia Zacharaki, Alexis Fousekis, Stella Fotiadi, Mary-Fofi Anestou, Vittoria Kotsalou, Ioanna Antonarou, Angeliki Gouvi, Dimitris Koutsoubas, Anastasis Karachanidis, Ariadne Psychogiopoulou, Iliana Kalapotharakou, Valentina Paraskevaidou and live musicians: Vassilis Kleftakis, Nikitas Kissonas, Zoe Efstathiou, Egil Kalman, Rudolfs Macats, Nikos Panagiotakis, Dimitris Karageorgos, Philippos Lampadarios and Giorgos Papoutsis.

The festival will close with an open improvisation of all performers, with (improvised) background music by the musical group PanNik Project.
