A... hot show from Argentina is coming to set our nights on fire... Tango Fire at the Pallas Theater, the weekend of March 4th and 5th.
Straight from Argentina, German Cornejo's Tango Fire returns to Athens, where it was adored by thousands of spectators in 2008. Argentina's hottest show after sold out performances in New York, Barcelona, Hong Kong, Hamburg, Sydney and London's West End comes with its new show "Flames of Passion" at Pallas on March 4 and 5 to set the stage on fire… Bodies that “fly”, swirl, legs that merge and separate in an instant. Without abandoning the classic tango motifs, the dancers of Tango Fire breathe new life into the beloved dance of their homeland. Deeply sensual and captivating, Tango Fire takes the audience on a journey into the magic and passion of real Argentine tango.
Two great stars of tango, world-famous superstars German Cornejo and Gisela Galeassi flanked by a cast of acclaimed dancers, including world champions and the best dancers from the famous tango houses of Buenos Aires, give life to the most explosive and sensual tango show of our time. "Flames of Passion", the new performance of "Tango Fire" combines all the elements of authentic Argentine tango: choreographies that exude passion and eroticism and timeless melodies, creations by the legendary Piazzolla, Pugliese and Gardel, performed live by the band Quarteto Fuego and singer Jesus Hidalgo.
Trained by Argentina's most renowned teachers, Germán Cornejo and Gisela Galeassi were declared world tango champions in 2003 and 2005 and have won forty medals in international competitions. They have been performing as a dance couple since 2010, constantly expanding the boundaries of traditional tango and incorporating classical and contemporary dance, jazz, ballet and acrobatics into their choreography. Their performances have received rave reviews around the world, captivating audiences in the USA, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and North Africa.
Since its formation in 2005, Tango Fire has become a global phenomenon and is now the most successful tango group in the world. With consecutive sold-out performances and over 20 million fans on YouTube, Tango Fire offers audiences tango at its best.
