Tango Por Dos, the most famous tango in the world, is coming to Greece for 3 performances at the Athens Concert Hall.
The Tango for Two is to tango what Cirque du Soleil is to family extravaganzas, the Royal Shakespeare Company is to Shakespearean performances, the Bolshoi and Mariinsky are to classical ballet.
And when we talk about tango performers and choreographers, the undisputed first of the first, the living legend of Argentina, is the superstar Miguel Angel Zotto!

THE SENSES DANCE WITH PASSION, WITH THE TOP TANGO DANCERS IN THE WORLD
The most important and famous tango group in the world, the dance diamond of Argentina, the famous Tango for Two presents his recent production in Athens: the amazing super spectacle TANGO ROOTS, which is already enchanting audiences on its world tour, garnering rave reviews from international critics.
The "Tango Roots" is a charming scenic journey, which begins from the roots of Tango and continues with a magical tour of its history and its major stages.
Starting from the dance rituals of the Indians and the culture of the indigenous peoples of the New World, the choreography is inspired by the tradition of the Gauchos Pampeanos built under the starry sky of Latin America. It traces the evolution of Tango as a dance of the Compadritos, the inhabitants of Buenos Aires, the Spanish, Italian, French, German and Russian immigrants, the poor workers, but also the lumpen elements, in other words, all those who played a special role in the spread of this great dance and music movement. Finally, he wanders the popular halls of La Boca, the brothels and the brothels, later meeting Rudolph Valentino and the apotheosis by Hollywood, the acceptance by the bourgeoisie and the intelligentsia, reaching the ban by the Junta and culminating in the universal and universal establishment of Tango, its emergence as the most sensual and romantic dance in the world.
And while the famous musicians contributed decisively to the renewal of the sound of Tango Carlos Gardel and Astor Piazzolla, at the dance he lifted it on his back the only one Miguel Angel Soto.
On stage, we follow a journey from Tango La Pampa to Tango Buenos Aires, from the countryside to the urbanization of this dance of passion, from yesterday to today, from black and white to color. The show balances beautifully between the passion and romance of Tango and the rigor and perfection of modern multimedia technology: projections, special lighting and effects contribute to the creation of a spectacular blockbuster.
Of course, it all comes down to the human element: it is the energy and passion of the 18 top dancers and the great orchestra with 6 soloists, who bring the soul of tango to life before the eyes of the audience.
The great Argentine maestro Miguel Angel Zotto, who is responsible for the direction and choreography, incorporates into "Tango Roots" all the elements of the dance of the ultimate erotic challenge and promise: the seduction, the swaying, the union of bodies, the joyful spirit, the assertion, the ecstasy of acceptance and the crushing of rejection and all this under the intoxicating magical sounds of the bandoneon. Spectators will have the opportunity to enjoy the Miguel Angel Zotto together with the wonderful Daiana Gúspero – a truly unique couple-ambassadors of the global spread and recognition of tango.
And so Athens is preparing to live a rare and valuable experience for the public: to see, hear, and meet the best in an art: the Tango for Two of course the big one too Miguel Angel Zotto.
