Tribute to tango en Ερος
The Athens Concert Hall is offering a two-day tribute entitled Valentine goes Megaron to those who want to celebrate love in a special way this year. It welcomes Valentine's Day with tango, music, film screenings and many surprises!
On Saturday 13/2, the focus will be on tango, the fiery and popular Latin American dance, in collaboration with Tango Acropolis Festivals, while on Sunday 14/2 the Athens State Orchestra, as part of the Love Stories concert, will perform famous melodies from classic films on the theme of Love.
Saturday, February 13: Tango in Love
The Palace proposes dancing until... the final drop to lovers of all ages who want to celebrate Valentine's Day differently, with the all-day tribute Tango en Eros, hosted in different areas of the MMA (from 12 noon to 3 am) and under the auspices of the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Athens.
There will be free tango lessons and happenings with free admission, film screenings, as well as the music and dance performance En Eros – Tango Acropolis Show, with the participation of the Tangarto Quintet and dance couples from Greece and abroad who have distinguished themselves in international competitions. Also, the Banquet Hall will host the event Ñoche de Τango y Milonga (10:30 PM – 3:00 AM), with live music from the Hamburg Tango Quintet and dancing for everyone until dawn!

Part 2 program
En Eros – Tango Acropolis Show, time: 20.30 – 22.00 (Christos Lambrakis Hall)
Nine couples, Greek, Italian and Argentine finalists of the Tango Acropolis Festival, meet the Tangarto Quintet and the famous singer Martha Moreleon, as well as composer and pianist Marios Strofalis as a guest star, in a fully staged musical and dance evening, flooded with the sensuality of tango.

Tango and Milonga Night, time 22:30 – 3:00 (Banquet Hall)
The all-day tribute closes with an authentic night of tango and milonga, where the musical command will be provided by the internationally renowned Hamburg Tango Quintet, which comes from Germany especially for Tango en Ερος, at the Megaron. Invited to this celebration… of midnight moods are not only the artists participating in the musical and dance events of the tribute, but also all tango lovers and dancers. The Banquet Hall, on Valentine’s Eve, will be transformed into an authentic Buenos Aires ballroom, where everyone, amateurs and professionals, will take to the dance floor to experience the magic of tango through simple steps and improvised figures, with the sound of the bandoneon as the main musical star.
Hamburg Tango Quintet: Aneta Pajek (bandoneon, accordion), Fernando Manuel Bruguera (keyboards), Hans-Christian Jaenicke (violin), Felix (Emil Christian), Behrendt (double bass), Jorge Daniel Rodriguez (vocals, guitar). With them is DJ Philimon Zacharatos.

Love Stories with the Athens State Orchestra (Christos Lambrakis Hall, 7:30 p.m.).
A concert dedicated to the music of the most famous cinematic masterpieces on the theme of Love. Music from favorite films such as: Gone with the Wind, Out of Africa, Love Story, Romeo and Juliet, West Side Story, Doctor Zhivago, La Strada, Titanic, etc. will be heard.
