"Ev Diugirien" 2016 in Veria (15-17/04/2016)

The Dance & Rhythm Association, with members who are dance teachers from all over Greece and having completed 40 years since its foundation, is organizing, in collaboration with the Municipality of Veria and the Public Benefit Enterprise for Multiple Development of the Municipality of Veria, the 10th Panhellenic Artistic Dance Competition "Ev Diougrigein 2016".

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       The "Ev Diougrigein 2016" event will be held on 15-16 and 17 April 2016 at the Arts Center. This is an event that, following the excellent cooperation of the organizations, has become an institution in the city of Veria and has a pan-Hellenic reach, as students from Dance Schools from all over Greece participate. And this year, the participation exceeds 400.

The competition covers the genres of classical, neoclassical, contemporary, character and jazz and will be held in two phases – semi-final (without the presence of an audience) and final (with the presence of an audience). This year's jury consists of Daniel Lommel, Yiannis Dontsakis, Thanasis Solomos.

With the main goal of the educational nature of the competition, the awards are given based on the score obtained by each contestant and not "competitively" with the distinction of only three places. After the competition, all contestants receive the judges' evaluation forms, where they can see their detailed scores in technique, stage presence - expressiveness and musicality with additional comments.

Within the framework of the competition, the organization tries to convey messages of awareness regarding childhood cancer, giving, as every year, the stigma of "Flag", the Association of Parents of Children with Neoplastic Diseases, where the proceeds from the two finals will be allocated entirely to support its goals.
